A story by Tricia Howry in loving memory of Peggy Penny

Created by Marsha 12 years ago
My Aunt Peggy was my mother's youngest sister. My mom married a US soldier and moved to Texas after WWII. These sisters did a great job of keeping our family close across the seas. Even though we lived far apart, I always felt her love. She had a great memory for birthdays; she never missed sending us a birthday card all through the years. When she would come to visit us in Texas, she was always so sweet, kind hearted, and fun to be with. This sweet lady's memory was taken by Dementia the last few years of her life, which seemed ironic since her sweet nature to remember our birthdays was one of the things about her that was so endearing to me.
